How to Make a Digital Wedding Invitation: 8 Steps (Free)

Wednesday, July 8, 2026

Quick answer

Open the builder at /create, enter the groom's and bride's nicknames, pick a theme, and sign in to save. Then add at least one event with a date and venue, preview it on your phone, publish, and share the link in Messenger, Viber, SMS or WhatsApp. The Free plan costs ₱0.

This guide follows the actual steps of the Imbitasyon Ko builder, which you can use on a phone or a laptop. It marks what is required and what is optional, so you can publish with the bare minimum and add the rest later, and it shows where the Free plan stops.

Have this ready first

Only the first three rows are needed to publish. The rest can be added later, even after you share the link.

Step 1: Enter your names and pick a theme

Open /create. Enter the groom's and bride's nicknames, then choose a theme. You do not sign in yet, and nothing is saved on the server until you do. The picker first shows only the free themes; tap Show all 30 themes to preview the rest. Standard themes need a Standard plan or higher when you publish, but you can design with any of them. See how to choose a wedding invitation theme or browse the themes page.

Step 2: Sign in to save

Sign in with Google, or ask for a 6-digit code by email. The code is valid for 10 minutes; check Spam or Promotions if it does not arrive. Your invitation is created and opens in the editor with your names and theme already filled in.

Step 3: Add the date, time and venue

The editor has ten steps, in the order a guest reads the invitation. Start with Date, time & location: the event name, date, start time, venue name and address. Adding a Google Maps link is optional; how to add a Google Maps location shows how. Add a second event for a separate reception.

Step 4: Add your entourage and dress code

The Entourage step lists your principal sponsors and wedding party under standard role names, plus motif colors (up to 6) and a dress code note. On Free, the published page shows the first 10 entourage names; you can enter more, and all are shown on Standard and Premium. Use the role names from our entourage roles guide.

Step 5: Add photos and the opening

In Cover & greeting, upload a cover photo and pick the opening style: Catholic, Christian, Civil or Islamic. Wording for each is in our wedding invitation wording examples. The gallery is separate from the cover: Free allows 2 gallery photos, Standard 15 and Premium 30.

If you have a wedding monogram, keep it off the cover: the cover photo shows at half opacity under a fade. Our wedding monogram guide covers where it works better.

Step 6: Preview on your phone

The editor shows a live preview beside the form, with a full-screen option. Before you publish, there is also a private preview link for you and family; do not send that one to guests. Check that the map opens, the names are spelled correctly and the layout fits a small screen.

Step 7: Publish

Choose the invitation address (lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, 3 to 40 characters), then publish. The address can be changed only once after publishing; links you already sent to the old address redirect to the new one, but printed QR codes keep the old address, so settle it before printing. Publishing needs both names, one event with a date and venue, and a theme your plan allows. If a theme is locked, the editor tells you to pick a free theme or upgrade.

Step 8: Share and track RSVPs

On the Publish & share step, tap Share invitation to open your phone's share sheet, or copy the link. You can also copy a ready-made message to paste into Messenger, Viber or SMS. Guests need no app or account, and they can RSVP and send wishes on the page. Meta's ad data shows Messenger reaching 65.8 million people in the Philippines in late 2025, reports DataReportal, so it is a natural place to send the link.

To see who opened it, open Manage Guests, add names one by one, many at once (one per line) or import a CSV, then send each guest a personal link one at a time by SMS, Viber or WhatsApp. More on wording and timing: how to share your digital invitation and when to send wedding invitations.

Which plan do you need?

Before you send it

  • Open the invitation on a phone and tap the map.
  • Read every name and date aloud once; use the proofreading checklist.
  • Skim the 21 invitation mistakes to avoid, especially the three with no clean undo.
  • Send the link with a short personal message.
  • Check RSVPs each week instead of waiting for the last week.

Start with the names, one event and a theme. Everything else can wait until after the link is out.
