How to Make a Digital Graduation Invitation in the Philippines
Sunday, October 25, 2026
Quick answer
On the create page, choose Graduation, type the graduate's nickname, pick a theme and sign in to save. Then add a Graduation event with a date, start time and venue, add a second event for your celebration if you want one, publish, and share the link. The Free plan costs ₱0.
A graduation invitation may have to cover two events: the ceremony the school runs and the celebration your family hosts. This guide follows the real steps of the Imbitasyon Ko builder and says plainly what it does not do.

Which event is your invitation for?
The school runs the ceremony, so its date, time and venue come from the school. Your family runs the celebration, such as a lunch or an open house. The builder shows both as separate event cards. Two Schools Division Offices name the 2026 ceremonies by level:
| Level | Ceremony name in the memos | Where it appears |
|---|---|---|
| Kindergarten | Moving-up | Imus City, Division Memorandum 153 s. 2026 |
| Grade 6 | Graduation | Imus City memo and Angeles City memo |
| Grade 10 or junior high | Moving-up | Imus City memo (Grade 10); Angeles City memo (junior high) |
| Grade 12 | Graduation | Both memos |
| ALS (Alternative Learning System) | Graduation | Angeles City memo |
These are public-school memos for one school year. For private schools and colleges, check your school's notice.
Ceremony details vary by school. In the Imus City memo, four Grade 12 ceremonies at one venue, the Imus Sports Complex, started at 6:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 1:00 PM and 4:30 PM on March 30. Copy the details from your own school. Our advice: give your celebration its own card and time.
The memo repeats DepEd's reminder that ceremonies be simple. GMA News reported on 23 March 2026 that DepEd Memorandum No. 015, s. 2026 directs public schools to hold simple, low-cost graduation and moving-up ceremonies. The same report says rites were scheduled for March 30 or 31, 2026, but the Imus City memo starts on 26 March, so use the date your school gives you.
What a graduation invitation includes, and where it goes in the builder
Greenvelope, a US digital invitation service, says an invitation should name the graduate, the graduation year and the degree, and focus on where and when the party or ceremony is. An announcement, it says, shares the news when there is no event to attend. Imbitasyon Ko builds invitations.
| Greenvelope's item | Where it goes | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Guest names | A personal link per guest | The cover greets that guest by name |
| The graduate's name | Names & photos step | Nickname is required; full name is optional |
| School, degree, graduation year | No field | Use the event name (80 characters) or your closing message |
| Date, time, location, meeting point | An event card | Meeting point goes in the address box or closing message |
| Graduation party details | A second event card | Add it with the Other Event button |
| How to RSVP | Built into the page | No reply-by date field |
| Dress code or theme | Dress Code step | A note plus up to 6 colors |
| Gifts | Gift section, Standard plan and up | Shows account details only |
To publish you need only the graduate's nickname, one event with a date, start time and venue name, and a theme your plan allows.
Step 1: Choose Graduation and enter one name
Open /create. Under What are you celebrating?, tap Graduation. The name box becomes Graduate's nickname. Type one name, up to 50 characters, then tap Continue to themes.
The picker first shows only the free themes; tap the show-all button for the rest. Each preview cover shows GRADUATION CELEBRATION above your name. Standard themes need a Standard plan or higher to publish, but you can design with any.
The themes page has no graduation category and its demos are weddings, so filter by color to echo school colors. More on choosing: how to choose a wedding invitation theme.
Step 2: Sign in to save
Agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then continue with Google or ask for a 6-digit code by email. Nothing is saved until you sign in.
Step 3: Fill in the graduate's details
The first editor step is Names & photos, titled Who's graduating?, with one section headed Graduate. Upload a photo, which shows as a circle, and add a full name if you want one. Add details holds the parents' names, a child number and Instagram.
Guests see a line under the name only when you enter a parent. It reads Child of followed by the parents; with a child number it becomes First child of, Second child of and so on up to the sixth child. The builder adds Mr. and Mrs., so type names without titles.
Each invitation is for one graduate; siblings need one each.
Step 4: Add the ceremony and the celebration
Open Date, time & location. A new graduation invitation has no event yet. The buttons are + Graduation and + Other Event; there is no Reception button on a graduation invitation.
| Card | Add it with | Starts as | Holds |
|---|---|---|---|
| School ceremony | + Graduation | Event name "Graduation" | The date, time and venue your school gave you |
| Family celebration | + Other Event | Event name "Other Event" | Your own venue and start time |
Both start at 2:00 PM with an empty date, so no wrong date is published by default. Rename each card. Events appear in the order you add them, and the cover shows the first one's date.
| Event field | Required? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Event name | Yes | Up to 80 characters |
| Date | Yes | Starts empty |
| Start time | Yes | Starts at 2:00 PM |
| Venue name | Yes | What guests search for |
| Session | No | Under Add details; a short label for one time slot, such as one of several ceremonies in a day |
| End time, address, Google Maps link | No | Under Add details; without a link, guests still get a map search from the venue and address |
| Dress code for this event only | No | Shown under the Dress Code heading |
An event with a missing required field is not saved. Each card gets a View Location button and calendar buttons. Map walkthrough: how to add a map to your wedding invitation.
Step 5: Set the dress code
The third step is Dress Code: a note of up to 300 characters and up to 6 motif colors, shown as swatches. A dress code on one event appears in the same section as "Event name: text", so the ceremony and the party can differ. The Imus City memo asks schools to avoid extravagant attire, so check what your school expects before setting a code for the ceremony card. Wording ideas: wedding dress code guide.
Step 6: Cover photo, closing message and co-hosts
In Cover & greeting, upload a cover photo and drag or zoom to position it; the Photos gallery is separate. In Family & closing, list co-hosts one name per line under Also inviting and write your own closing message of up to 600 characters.
The standard closing text thanks guests for coming and for their prayers; replace it if the tone is off. Your own message can hold what has no field:
- School, degree and graduation year.
- The reply-by date.
- A meeting point or parking note.
- Whether ceremony seats are limited.
Step 7: Preview and publish
The editor shows a live preview. The private preview link is for you and family, not guests. Check the name, dates and map button on your phone with the proofreading checklist.
Choose the invitation address (lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, 3 to 40 characters) and publish. The address can be changed only once after publishing. After publishing, the button reads Save & Update; tap it after any edit to refresh the published page.
Step 8: Share, set seat limits and track replies
On Publish & share, tap Share invitation to open your phone's share sheet; a browser without one copies the link. Copy invitation message gives a ready message whose occasion line reads "to celebrate the graduation of:" followed by the graduate's name. Guests need no app or account.
For ceremony seats or a small party, open Manage Guests & Send Invites and give each guest a personal link. The Max persons box runs from 1 to 10 and starts at 2; on that guest's link, the number-of-guests menu in the RSVP form stops at the limit. A link opened without a guest's name offers up to 4. Add guests one by one, one name per line, or by CSV with the columns name, group, phone and persons, then send each link yourself by SMS, Viber or WhatsApp. More: how to share your digital invitation and digital invitations for older relatives.
For relatives abroad, the Premium plan adds a Live Streaming Link (YouTube/Instagram) box under the Music, live & gifts step, and guests see a Watch Live button. The invitation only shows the link; see wedding livestream for guests abroad for the setup.
What guests see
| Part of the page | What a graduation invitation shows | Can you change it? |
|---|---|---|
| Cover heading | Graduation Celebration, directly above the name with no "of" | No |
| Opening line | Please join us for a graduation celebration in honor of: | No |
| Name section | One graduate: nickname, full name, photo, Child of line | Yes |
| Event cards | Name, date, time, venue, map and calendar buttons | Yes |
| Dress Code | Your note, per-event notes and swatches | Yes |
| RSVP | Name, whether attending and number of guests | Fixed form |
| Wishes | Guests can send a wish, under the heading Wishes & Prayers | Fixed heading |
| After the date | The countdown ends with Thank you for celebrating with us | No |
The opening line comes from example 4 on Greenvelope's graduation wording page:
"Please join us for a graduation celebration in honor of" — Greenvelope, "Express Your Joy with These Graduation Invitation Wording Ideas"
Greenvelope's sample then names the graduate, school and class year; Imbitasyon Ko adds a colon and shows the name card. This is a US source. We could not find a Philippine school, stationer or news source that publishes graduation invitation wording, so do not treat the line as a Philippine convention. It is plain and secular. It says graduation even on a moving-up event, as the table below shows.
What the builder does not do for a graduation
| You may want | What the builder offers | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Fields for school, degree, honors or class year | None | Put them in the event name or closing message |
| Moving-up wording for kindergarten or Grade 10 | Cover heading and opening line say graduation | Name the event card yourself; the heading stays |
| Your own opening line or cover heading | Fixed by the type of celebration | Nothing; the rest of the page is editable |
| A ceremony program or list of honors | No section | Summarise it in the closing message |
| A reply-by date field | None | Put the date in the closing message and your sent message |
| Several graduates on one page | One graduate per invitation | Make one invitation each |
| A "Son of" or "Daughter of" line | Reads Child of | Nothing; the wording is fixed |
When to send
Evite, a US service, says to send graduation party invitations "approximately three to four weeks in advance" because the season is busy. School details can firm up later: the Imus City schedule memo is dated 13 March 2026 and its first ceremony was on 26 March. Send your own celebration details once they are fixed, then use Save & Update when the school confirms the ceremony.
Which plan do you need?
All plans are one-time payments per invitation, not subscriptions. See pricing and free digital invitations.
| If you need | Plan | Price |
|---|---|---|
| To build, preview, publish and share with free themes, 20 personal links, 2 gallery photos | Free | ₱0 |
| Unlimited personal links, free and Standard themes, 15 photos, no watermark, a Gift section, background music | Standard | ₱499 |
| A Watch Live link, all themes, 30 photos, QR check-in, custom domain, gallery video cover | Premium | ₱999 |
Free is enough to publish. A Free account can hold up to 5 Free invitations, and the published page carries a small watermark band.
Before you send it
- Tap View Location on each card, on a phone.
- Check that the ceremony card matches the school's latest notice.
- Put your reply-by date in the closing message and the message you send.
- Making a debut invitation? See the debut guide; the cover and event buttons differ.
Start with the graduate's name, one event and a theme, then add the celebration card. The ceremony details can wait until the school confirms them.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make a digital graduation invitation?
Choose Graduation on the create page, type the graduate's nickname and pick a theme. Sign in to save, add an event with a date, start time and venue, then publish and share the link by Messenger, Viber or SMS. Guests open it in their browser, so there is nothing to print.
What should a graduation invitation include?
Greenvelope, a US service, lists the guest names, the graduate's name, the school and degree, the date, time and place, how to reply, and extras such as a dress code. Imbitasyon Ko has no school, degree or graduation year fields, so put those in the event name or your closing message.
When should you send graduation party invitations?
Evite, a US service, says about three to four weeks in advance because graduation season is busy. School ceremony details can firm up later, so send your own celebration details as soon as they are fixed and use Save & Update when the school confirms the rest.
What is the difference between a graduation invitation and an announcement?
Greenvelope says an announcement shares the news when there is no event to attend, while an invitation tells people where and when the ceremony or party is. Imbitasyon Ko builds invitations: each has event cards and an RSVP form.
What is the difference between graduation and moving-up ceremonies?
In two 2026 DepEd division memos, Grade 6, Grade 12 and ALS ceremonies are graduations, while kindergarten, Grade 10 and junior high ceremonies are moving-up. The builder's cover heading and opening line say graduation for every level, and you cannot edit them.
How do I limit how many people each guest can bring?
Add each guest in Manage Guests and set the Max persons box from 1 to 10; it starts at 2. On that guest's personal link, the number-of-guests menu in the RSVP form stops at the limit.
Can relatives abroad watch the graduation?
On the Premium plan you can add a livestream link, and guests see a Watch Live button. The invitation only shows the link; you still need to set up the stream on YouTube or Instagram yourself.
Is a digital graduation invitation free?
The Free plan costs ₱0 with no time limit. It allows free themes, personal links for 20 guests, 2 gallery photos and a small watermark band. Standard is ₱499 and Premium is ₱999, each paid once per invitation.
