Wedding Transportation and Parking for Guests: 26 Copy-Ready Lines

Tuesday, September 8, 2026

Quick answer

Tell guests four things: which gate to enter, whether parking is available and how many cars fit, what time to arrive, and a number to call that is not the couple's. The invitation has no parking field, so use the session line for the arrival time, the address line for a short clause, and your message for the rest.

Guests are stuck on which gate to enter, whether their car will fit, what time to leave, and what happens if it rains. This page gives you 26 lines to copy, shows where each one fits on a digital invitation that has no parking field, and works out a guest arrival time from measured Manila travel data.

What guests ask about

Our advice is to settle each of these before the invitation goes out, because a missing one is what guests message you about on the morning.

ItemThe question it answersPriority
Venue's full registered name"There are three places with this name"Always
Map pin for the entrance guests use"Which gate?"Always
Guest arrival time, as a clock time"What time should I be there?"Always
Parking available or not"Do I drive or book a ride?"Always
Number of slots, if limited"Will I still get a space at 2 PM?"If limited
Parking fee, and who pays it"Do I need cash at the gate?"If charged
Overflow parking"Where do I go once it is full?"If limited
Drop-off point separate from parking"Can I drop my mother at the door?"If distinct
Accessible route without steps"Can my father reach the door?"If anyone needs it
How to get there without a car"I don't drive"If reachable
Shuttle times and pickup point"Do I wait, or go ahead?"If running
Contact number for the day"I am lost and the couple is busy"Always

Give your coordinator's number, or a sibling's, not yours: you will not be answering. Ask the venue whether the route from the drop-off to the seats has steps. Our guide to inviting older relatives covers the reading side of the same problem.

Where each line goes on your invitation

Each event on Imbitasyon Ko has fixed details and no box for parking or transport. Here is what the published page does with each.

FieldHow it appearsLimit
Venue nameBold line under the date and time160 characters
Session (optional)A small line under the time80 characters
AddressSmall text below the venue name400 characters
Google Maps linkA View Location button that opens in a new tabOne link per event
Dress code (optional)A Dress Code line on the card120 characters
Closing messagePlain text at the end of the page600 characters

The address is also the calendar entry's location, because the Google Calendar and Apple / Outlook Calendar buttons join the venue name and address into one line, so a paragraph of parking notes ends up in guests' calendars. Links in the closing message are not clickable. Use the session line for the arrival time, the address line for one clause, and your message for anything longer. Our guide to adding a map to your invitation covers the link itself.

26 lines to copy

One line per paragraph. Fill the brackets and delete what does not apply.

For the Session line, which shows under the time and holds 80 characters:

For rides and drop-off:

Ride-hail drivers: set the pin to [Gate name], not the venue name. Drop-off is at [Point].

After the reception, book your ride from [Pick-up point], not the roadside.
No car? Take [Jeepney, bus or train] to [Landmark], then it is a [Number]-minute walk. If you book a ride, use the drop-off at [Gate].

For the day before, a change, and rain:

Change of plan: parking has moved to [New lot and address]. The gate and the start time are the same.
Rain plan: the drop-off moves to [Covered bay]. Please allow an extra 15 minutes.

Pin the entrance, not the building

A venue pin drops you at the building. Guests who drive need the gate, which is often on another street. Google's Android help says: "Search for a place or drop a pin on the map. Touch and hold the map to drop a pin." Then tap Share (Google). Hold the map over the gate and share that.

For a gate with no address, use a Plus Code. Google describes them as a way to "identify different entrances to the same building." On Android, find the location, "tap the panel that appears," then "tap the Plus Code" to copy it and paste it into your message (Google). A guest enters the code in the Maps search box.

Waze sends a location from your saved places or your navigation history, so the gate has to be in one of them first. Then:

  1. From saved places: open Waze, tap the search bar, tap Saved, tap the icon next to the place, then tap Send location. From history: swipe up, long tap the location, tap Send location (Waze).
  2. On a computer: open the Waze Live Map, enter the location under Driving directions, and click the icon in the bottom corner "to copy the link to the location" (Waze).

The invitation's location button takes one link per event, so put your main pin there and send the gate pin and the Waze link in the message. Guests who book a ride need the venue's registered name and the gate in words.

Work the arrival time backwards

Give guests a clock time, not "before the ceremony," and pick it from data. TomTom's Traffic Index publishes these figures for Manila in 2025, read on 30 September 2026:

Measure (Manila, 2025)Value
Average time for a 10 km drive31 min 45 s
Same 10 km in morning rush hour34 min 53 s
Same 10 km in evening rush hour43 min 29 s
Average distance driven in 15 minutes4.7 km

These are yearly averages from TomTom, not a forecast for your date. The page reports a "city" and a "metro" area, and we did not confirm which one these figures use. Our estimate: scaling the evening figure linearly, 12 km at 6 PM is about 52 minutes of driving before parking. Build the guest arrival time in this order:

  1. Take the ceremony start the officiant will keep.
  2. Subtract the time you want guests seated. Our advice is 30 minutes; it is your decision.
  3. Subtract the walk from the car park to the door, five to ten minutes at a large venue, and more in rain. This is our advice.
  4. Subtract the queue at the parking gate. If 200 guests arrive at one gate with one attendant, expect a queue.
  5. Publish the result as the arrival time and let each guest add their own drive.

Guests can plan against traffic: in Google Maps, after getting directions, "click Leave now" and select "Depart at or Arrive by" (Google). Say so in your message.

Metro Manila road restrictions: check, do not copy

GMA describes Metro Manila's number coding as barring "vehicles from using the roads on one day depending on the last number on their license plates, except during window hours in most cities" (GMA). It also reported that "the number coding scheme is automatically suspended during regular holidays and special non-working holidays," when the MMDA suspended it for 12 June 2026 (GMA).

Rules change fast. In May 2025 the MMDA announced an odd-even scheme for EDSA that would ban even-numbered plates on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. By 1 June 2025 GMA reported it was cancelled and that the MMDA would continue the existing number coding scheme (GMA). So do not copy coding hours from a blog, this one included. Check the MMDA's advisories for your date, and write a line only if a restriction applies.

If you are running a shuttle

A shuttle is a schedule, not a gesture. Our advice is to run one when the ceremony and reception are apart, parking is scarce, or many guests stay at one hotel. Decide these before you announce it:

DecisionThe failure it prevents
A named pickup point, with its own pinGuests waiting at the wrong hotel entrance
A departure time, not "around" a timeA bus held for one family while others miss the ceremony
Whether it waits, and for how longAn argument in the car park
Who is on the listMore guests than seats
Return trips, and the last oneGuests stranded after the reception
A person on board with a phoneNobody to call when the bus is late

Run it as a list:

  1. Ask for shuttle seats in your message, not in the RSVP. The invitation form takes a name, a yes, no or undecided answer, and a headcount only from guests who say yes.
  2. In the Guests list, add the tag shuttle to each rider. Tags are private to you, up to 10 per guest, and you can filter the list by tag and export it to CSV.
  3. Set the departure at least 30 minutes before the arrival time you gave everyone else, plus the drive. That is our advice.
  4. Send the pickup pin and departure time the evening before, to the riders only.
  5. Give the person on board the list and the coordinator's number, and announce the last return at the reception.

Our venue checklist covers parking capacity and vehicle access at the ocular. Guests from far away need the destination guest information too.

Rain changes the drop-off, not the map

What changesWhat to confirm in advance
Drop-off pointWhether the covered bay is reserved for the bridal car
Overflow parkingWhether unpaved areas stay usable when wet
Walking routeWhether there is cover between the car park and the door
Arrival timeWhether guests need an extra 15 minutes

Confirm the wet-weather version when you book, and send it the day before. Our rainy season backup plan covers the rest.

The whole job is one pin on the gate, one calculated arrival time, one parking clause, one number to call that is not yours, and a wet-weather line held for the day before.

Frequently asked questions

How do you tell wedding guests about parking?

Give the gate, whether parking is available, how many cars fit if it is limited, any fee, an overflow option and the arrival time. Keep it to one clause on the invitation and put the longer version in the message that carries your link. The page has 26 lines to copy.

Where do you put parking information on a digital wedding invitation?

Imbitasyon Ko has no parking field. Use the event's session line, up to 80 characters, for the arrival time, and the address line, up to 400 characters, for a short clause such as the gate. The address also becomes the calendar location, so keep it short.

What time should guests arrive at a wedding ceremony?

Give a clock time, not before the ceremony. Our advice is to count back from the ceremony start: minus the time you want guests seated, minus the walk from the car park, minus queuing at the gate. Our advice is 30 minutes seated, and it is your decision.

How do I share the exact entrance of a venue on a map?

Drop a pin on the gate, not the building, and share it. For a gate with no address, Google says a Plus Code can identify different entrances to the same building. Guests paste the code into the Maps search box. A Waze link is a second option.

Do wedding guests need a shuttle?

Our advice is to run one when the ceremony and reception are in different places, when parking is scarce, or when many guests come from one hotel. A shuttle needs a pickup point, a departure time, a rider list, a last return trip and a person on board with a phone.

Does number coding affect wedding guests in Metro Manila?

Metro Manila's number coding bars vehicles from the roads on one day depending on the last number of the plate, except during window hours in most cities. The MMDA says it is automatically suspended on regular holidays and special non-working holidays. Rules change, so check the MMDA's advisories for your date.
