Wedding RSVP Wording Philippines: 22 Copy-Paste Lines
Wednesday, July 8, 2026
Quick answer
An RSVP line needs a reply-by date, one way to reply and, when seats are limited, who the invitation covers. Ink Scribbler, a Philippine stationer, says a Philippine RSVP is usually one or two lines with a deadline and a contact number. Copy any of the 22 lines below.
An RSVP is a short ask: reply by this date, this way. Below are 22 lines you can paste into an invitation or a message, then how replies work on a digital invitation and how to keep count.
If you are the guest, see what RSVP means on an invitation and how to decline politely, the guest-side exit when you cannot come.
What an RSVP line needs
Vistaprint lists what an RSVP should cover: a response request, a deadline, guest names, the number attending, attendance options and contact details. Meal choices and a dress code are optional extras.
In the Philippines it is often shorter. Ink Scribbler says the RSVP is usually one or two lines with the deadline and the number to contact, on its own card or as part of the info card. Use this as a checklist:
| Part | Example |
|---|---|
| Request | "Kindly reply" |
| Deadline | "by [Date]" |
| How | A link, a mobile number, or a Viber contact |
| Who | "The seats named on this invitation" |

When to send it and when replies are due
| Step | When | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Send the invitation with the RSVP | 6 to 8 weeks before, after a save the date | Bliss & Bone |
| Reply-by date | 3 to 4 weeks before | Bliss & Bone |
| Reply-by date on an RSVP card | 4 to 6 weeks before | Vistaprint |
| First reply-by date | About 4 weeks before, to match suppliers' final-headcount timing | Brideandbreakfast.ph |
| Final deadline | At least 2 weeks before | Brideandbreakfast.ph |
| Destination wedding | Invite about 3 months ahead, replies due about 6 weeks before | Brideandbreakfast.ph |
| Final chase | Up to your caterer's final-count date | Our advice |
The published ranges overlap rather than agree, and Brideandbreakfast.ph says the first deadline can flex with your suppliers and how quickly guests reply. Our advice is to count back from your caterer's date, not the wedding, and to print the earlier deadline. The full calendar is in when to send wedding invitations. If a reply-by date has passed, RSVP follow-up and final headcount has the chase schedule and templates.
What guests see on an Imbitasyon Ko invitation
Guests open your link, with no login or app. The RSVP form asks for:
- Their name. A personal link fills it in.
- Their answer: yes, no, or maybe. Nothing is pre-selected, so opening the page does not count as a yes.
- How many are attending, up to the maximum you set.
After sending, an attending guest sees a summary and can add the event to Google Calendar or download a calendar file. A "Change RSVP" button lets them edit the answer. A guest with a personal link sees their earlier answer on any device; a guest on the shared link sees it on the same device.
There is no deadline field in the form. Put the date in your message or in the invitation text, using a line above.
Counting seats
Each guest you add gets a maximum of 1 to 10 persons, with 2 as the default. The form will not accept a higher number, which is how an adults-only or limited-seat rule works in practice. A guest on the shared link, with no personal link, can enter up to 4.
Free invitations allow 20 guests with personal links; Standard and Premium have no cap. See pricing.
Tracking replies
| Where | What you see |
|---|---|
| Replies tab | Answers as Attending, Not attending or Maybe, plus guest wishes |
| Guests list | Each guest's status: "Sent, not opened", "Opened, no reply" or answered |
| Filter | "Invited, no reply" shows who to chase |
| Record RSVP answer | Enter a reply that came by text or call, so it counts in the summary |
Check weekly in the last weeks before your deadline. If a guest replied by text, record it right away, so the number you give your caterer is complete. The guest list management guide covers keeping that list in one place.
Guests who never reply
Send one direct message, not another group forward. If there is still nothing near the deadline, call. Brideandbreakfast.ph says that once the final deadline has passed with no reply at all, it is acceptable to mark a guest as not attending, and to send a courteous message of regret. Caterers and venues need a firm number, so plan around the confirmed count.
Frequently asked questions
What should I write for RSVP on a wedding invitation?
Write a reply-by date and one way to reply, such as a link, a mobile number or a Viber contact. If seats are limited, add who the invitation covers. Ink Scribbler says a Philippine RSVP is usually just one or two lines with the deadline and a number.
Do I need a separate RSVP card for a Filipino wedding?
Not usually. Ink Scribbler says the RSVP can be its own card or part of the info card with the map and other details. On a digital invitation the reply form on the page replaces the card.
What is a good RSVP deadline for a wedding?
Bliss & Bone suggests 3 to 4 weeks before the wedding. Vistaprint suggests 4 to 6 weeks for an RSVP card, and Brideandbreakfast.ph says about 4 weeks, matching suppliers' final-headcount timing. Whichever you pick, it should fall before your caterer's final-count date, with time left to chase.
How do guests RSVP to a digital wedding invitation?
They open your link and fill in a short form: their name, their answer and how many are attending. There is no login or app. On Imbitasyon Ko the answer can be yes, no or maybe, and it appears in your Replies tab.
Can guests change their RSVP after replying?
On an Imbitasyon Ko invitation, yes. After replying, a guest can open the page again and change the answer. A guest with a personal link sees their earlier answer on any device, while a guest on the shared link sees it on the same device.
What do I do if a guest never replies to the RSVP?
Send one direct message, then call if there is still no answer near the deadline. Once the final deadline has passed, Brideandbreakfast.ph says it is acceptable to mark a guest as not attending, so plan your final numbers around the confirmed count. The follow-up guide has a wave-by-wave schedule and messages.
How many seats can a guest reserve on the RSVP?
On Imbitasyon Ko you set a maximum of 1 to 10 persons for each guest, with 2 as the default, and the form will not accept more. A guest on the shared link can enter up to 4.
