Wedding Lights and Sounds Philippines: LED Wall, Sound, Packages

Thursday, October 8, 2026

Quick answer

A lights-and-sounds package is the speakers, mixer, microphones, lights and technicians for your reception; an LED wall or riser is an add-on. We found no wedding price list. Government RFQs set budget ceilings of PHP 75,000 to 210,000 for agency events, not wedding quotes.

"Lights and sounds" is the local name for the supplier who brings the speakers, mixer, microphones and lights for your reception. This guide shows what the package covers, what an LED wall adds, what six Philippine agency requests for quotation (RFQs) specified and budgeted, and the venue, contract and supplier questions to settle before you book.

Empty reception hall at dusk with round tables, yellow flower centerpieces, string lights overhead and amber uplighting on a draped stage wall

One limit up front. SERP results for this topic are mostly government RFQs and supplier pages, and we found no published wedding price list for LED walls. The RFQs are for agency events such as anniversaries and fiestas, not weddings. Their budgets are ceilings the agency was willing to pay, not supplier quotes. We use them because they spell out equipment line by line, which wedding suppliers rarely publish.

What a lights-and-sounds package covers

The detailed RFQs group the work into the same three systems. The table shows what each does at a reception and when you might skip it.

SpeakersCarry the emcee, music and toasts to every tableRarely; check what the venue already has

Sources for the equipment lines (the July 2025 San Fernando RFQ is the seventh posting we use, for specs only): Insurance Commission RFQ, January 2020, LRA RFQ, January 2024 and City of San Fernando RFQ, July 2025. The "when you can skip it" column is our suggestion.

Six Philippine RFQs side by side

These are the agency postings we could read in full or in the official abstract. Each row names the event, what it asked for and the stated budget.

PostingLED wallRest of the packageBudget stated
Insurance Commission, Jan 20202 units, each 9 x 12 ft P324 RGBW pars, 8 moving heads, 8 line array speakersPHP 150,000

LRA anniversary, Feb 20249 x 14 ft, 1080p, 4 inch baseSame lights; sound for 1,000 peoplePHP 150,000 VAT inclusive
Civil Service Commission, Sept 20249 x 12 ft landscape, with operatorsDigital mixer; lights and extra speakers optionalPHP 75,000 for the lot
City of San Fernando award, Feb 2025Wall and sound system for a town fiesta event whose title refers to weddings; 20-day delivery periodLowest responsive quotation wonPHP 210,000 budget; PHP 209,950 contract
MARINA, May 2025Wall, sound and lights; one delivery daySpecifications are in attached files, not in the abstractPHP 110,000

The LRA's PDF header reads 23 January 2023, but its deadline (26 January 2024), delivery (31 January 2024) and event (1 February 2024) are all 2024, so we date it 2024. The San Fernando award is for a town fiesta event whose title refers to weddings; it is not a couple's wedding. Durations and scope differ across rows, so these are not wedding prices, and the one awarded contract (PHP 209,950) is not a market rate.

Two things stand out. First, 9 x 12 ft is the most common wall size: three of these postings name it, and so does the July 2025 San Fernando RFQ. Second, the stated budgets run from PHP 75,000 to 210,000, nearly three times apart. The scopes differ too: the Civil Service lot made lights and extra speakers optional. So read the scope before you compare any two numbers.

The smallest kit and a 1,000-person kit

We found no source that ties a package to wedding guest count. The only audience figure is the LRA's sound system, specified for 1,000 people outdoors. The table sets it beside the smallest kit in the RFQs.

ItemSmallest: San Fernando, July 2025Sized for 1,000 people: LRA, Jan 2024
Speakers2 active two-way4 line array, 4 subwoofers, 4 powered, 2 house, 2 monitor
Mixing1 audio mixerDigital console and a 24 channel mixer

Wall9 x 12 ft9 x 14 ft, 1080p
Staff and durationCrew meals included; 3 daysAt least 2 wall technicians; sound for 1,000 people

Our suggestion, not sourced: a garden reception needs a rain and power plan, a ballroom may already have house sound, and a small function room may not need a wall at all. Our garden wedding guide covers weather and power at the venue level.

What to put on an LED wall

The RFQs say what the wall does technically: the Civil Service terms ask for video mixers to feed external video to the wall, and the Insurance Commission list adds a laptop and live-feed cables. For a wedding, these are common uses, and the list is our suggestion rather than a sourced practice.

UseWhen it playsFile to prepare
Names or monogramWhile guests arrive and eatImage sized to the wall's ratio
Photo loopCocktails and dinnerPhotos in the order you want
Same-day editPlays in a slot during the programFinal cut, tested on the wall
Live feedCeremony or toastsA camera operator and a cable run
Livestream viewFor guests abroadA second screen, not the main wall

Our guides cover three of these: wedding monogram ideas, the same-day edit and the livestream for guests abroad. Whatever you show, send the file early and ask for a playback test on the actual wall.

Power, timing and venue rules

On mood, emcee Eri Neeman told Bride and Breakfast about a reception where the lighting was dim and the crowd "were getting sleepy". He says to keep guests lit, not only the stage.

The RFQs treat power and timing as written terms, not afterthoughts.

ItemWhat the RFQ saysSource
Main breakerOne lot, 100 amperes maximum, plus 16 ampere connectorsLRA, Jan 2024
Setup dayWall and equipment set up the day before for a tech runLRA, Dec 2023 and Jan 2024
Event hoursOne event ran 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM; another 8:00 AM to midnightLRA RFQs

Crew mealsPackage includes crew meals at ingress, event and egressCity of San Fernando, 2025
Floor clearanceWall raised at least 4 inches from the floorLRA, Jan 2024

None of the RFQs we read list a generator, so we cannot say when one is needed. Ask your venue how much power it provides, and ask your supplier how much its gear draws.

Venues may price extra lights and sound. G-Beach Resort in Bolinao includes a basic sound system and a projector in its full wedding package; its venue-only rental lists a basic sound system, a microphone and the simple lights already at the resort. Under "Additional corkage" it lists these extras.

Extra at G-Beach ResortFee
Additional lightsPHP 2,000
Additional sound systemPHP 2,000
Live bandPHP 1,500

Other venues may charge differently or not at all. Our corkage fee guide shows how venues structure these fees, and says to get yours in writing.

Payment terms and contract checks

The government RFQs show payment terms you can borrow as a checklist. They are public-sector rules, so a private supplier may ask for a deposit instead.

TermWhat the RFQs sayWhy it matters to you
Down paymentLRA: none; full payment after the eventA private supplier may differ; write the deposit down
Price validityLRA: 90 days; CSC: 30 daysA quote expires; note the date
TaxLRA: VAT and other charges inclusiveAsk whether your quote includes tax
InspectionLRA: goods subject to inspection and acceptanceTest everything at the tech run
Delay penaltyInsurance Commission: 5% per hour; CSC: one-tenth of 1% of the unperformed part per dayAsk what your supplier owes you if it is late
Payment timingCSC: 15 to 30 days after complete documentsAgree the balance date in writing

Questions to ask the supplier

These are our suggestions, built from the specs above.

  1. Which exact items are in the package? Ask for the list with quantities.
  2. Are technicians and operators included, and for how many hours?
  3. What size is the LED wall, at what resolution, and is a riser included?
  4. What is your setup time and when is the tech run?
  5. How much power do you need, and do you bring your own cables and breakers?
  6. Are crew meals included, or billed separately?
  7. What is your overtime rate if the program runs late?
  8. What is your backup if a speaker, mixer or panel fails?
  9. Do you visit the venue before quoting?
  10. Does the venue charge extra for lights or sound beyond what it includes?
  11. What is the deposit, when is the balance due, and what is the cancellation term?
  12. Can you play my files from a laptop and test them on the wall?

Write the answers into the quotation, because a spoken answer is not a term. If the quote omits an item from the list above, assume it is not included until it is written in.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in a lights and sounds package?

The Philippine RFQs we read list speakers, a mixer, microphones, a laptop for music, LED par lights, a lighting controller, cables and power connectors. Larger ones add moving heads, subwoofers, monitors and a video switcher. Technicians or operators are named in some, so ask whether yours are included.

How much does an LED wall rental cost in the Philippines?

We found no published wedding price list. Agency requests for quotation show budget ceilings: PHP 75,000 for a 9 x 12 ft wall with operators and sound at a 2024 civil service event, and PHP 150,000 for a 9 x 14 ft wall with lights and sound at a 2024 anniversary. These are government budgets, not quotes.

What size LED wall do you need for a wedding?

We found no wedding standard. The government RFQs we read most often specify 9 x 12 ft, with one at 9 x 14 ft. A supplier can tell you what fits your stage and viewing distance after a venue visit.

Do you need a generator for lights and sounds at a wedding?

None of the RFQs we read list a generator. They list main breakers, power cords and connectors, and one caps the main breaker at 100 amperes. Ask your venue how much power it offers and your supplier how much it needs.

Should you pay a downpayment to a lights and sounds supplier?

The Land Registration Authority RFQs state no down payment, with full payment after delivery or the event. The Civil Service Commission RFQ pays 15 to 30 days after complete supporting documents. A private booking is your contract, so write down the deposit, the balance date and the cancellation term.

Can a venue charge extra for outside lights and sound?

Some venues price it. G-Beach Resort in Bolinao includes a basic sound system in its full wedding package, and lists PHP 2,000 each under additional corkage for additional lights and an additional sound system. Ask your venue what it includes and what extra costs.
