Wedding Favor Ideas Philippines: 34 Giveaways Guests Will Use

Wednesday, July 8, 2026

Quick answer

Give favors guests will eat or use: local treats, drip coffee, honey, a fan, a tote bag, a candle or a small plant. Nuptials.ph puts simple favors at ₱50 to ₱150 a piece and reports Divisoria favors from ₱35. It says favors are not required, but guests tend to expect a token.

The favors guests keep are the ones they can eat or use: local treats, drip coffee, honey, a fan, a tote bag, a candle, a small plant. Below are 34 ideas in six groups, each with a dated peso price where a Philippine source publishes one. After the lists: when to hand favors out, and tag lines you can copy.

Nuptials.ph's favors guide (May 12, 2026) says favors are not required, "but guests do tend to expect to receive a token at the end of the affair." There is no expected type, so pick for your guests, your venue and your budget. On price, Nuptials.ph reports Divisoria favors from ₱35 a piece, and its intimate wedding guide (June 3, 2025) puts simple favors such as baked goods, candles or handmade soaps at ₱50 to ₱150. For the math, see our wedding souvenir budget guide.

Idea 9 comes from Nuptials.ph's giveaways guide, which says the smallest box feeds 3 to 6 people.

Packaging matters more for food than for anything else. Our advice: individually wrapped and sturdy beats pretty and fragile, and perishables should be made close to the day.

Idea 21 is from Nuptials.ph's 2022 giveaways list. Our advice: a candle is a poor pick for a hot outdoor afternoon, so match the item to the conditions guests will carry it home in.

Our advice: buying from a local maker also gives you one person to ask about lead time and bulk price, instead of a marketplace listing.

For ninong, ninang and parents (32 to 34)

Principal sponsors and parents are usually a separate, smaller line. The same Nuptials.ph intimate wedding guide suggests gifts for them in the ₱500 to ₱2,000 range.

DIY or buy?

DIY saves money when your labor is free and your timeline is long. Nuptials.ph's favors guide tells of the writer's friend's cousin, who made chopping boards from a backyard tree: labor-intensive, but half the cost per piece of their supplier's quote. The same guide warns against leaving DIY to the last minute. Its giveaways guide suggests starting up to five months before the wedding and finishing three months before, except pastries and other perishables, which are made days before.

Buying makes sense when the count is large or the item needs equipment you do not have, such as laser engraving. Nuptials.ph's favors guide notes that Divisoria vendors offer personalization for an extra fee and that bulk orders lower the price per piece. Our advice: if you DIY, make one sample first and time it. Multiply that time by your piece count before you commit a weekend, or several, to it.

What tends to get left behind

This is our advice rather than a sourced finding. Favors get left on tables when guests cannot tell what they are for, when they are awkward to carry, or when they clash with the day: a melting chocolate at a noon garden reception, a glass item in a crowded jeepney ride home, a large frame that does not fit a bag. A good test is to picture a guest leaving with a sleeping child on one arm. If the favor still makes it home, it passes.

Personalize lightly. A small tag with your names and the date is enough to make a favor feel intentional; guests notice the gesture more than the design.

When to hand them out

Nuptials.ph describes four moments. The table is its list; the right-hand column is our advice.

MomentNuptials.ph's reasonBest for

Tag lines to copy

my-best lists the common elements of a souvenir tag: the couple's names, the date and a short thank-you. Replace the names and date. Each line is one tag.

Before you order

  • Count pieces, not guests. Decide whether you give one per guest, per household or per table. Our RSVP follow-up and final headcount templates pin the number down.
  • Ask for the personalized price. Nuptials.ph says vendors charge extra for personalization.
  • Order early. my-best suggests at least 2 to 3 months before the wedding. Nuptials.ph suggests starting DIY favors up to five months ahead. The last-month wedding checklist shows what is still realistic to change late.
  • Keep a few extra. A small buffer covers late additions and breakage.

Pick one idea from the group that fits your venue, price it per piece, and multiply by a count you have written down.

Frequently asked questions

What are good wedding favors in the Philippines?

Favors guests eat or use tend to leave the venue with them: local snacks, cookies, drip coffee, honey, fans, tote bags, candles, soap and small plants. Match the item to your venue, such as a fan for an outdoor reception or sunglasses for a beach wedding.

Are wedding favors required in the Philippines?

No. Nuptials.ph (May 12, 2026) says favors are not required, but that guests do tend to expect a token at the end. There is no expected type, so you can choose what fits your budget and theme.

When should you give wedding favors?

Nuptials.ph describes four moments: as guests enter the reception, at each place setting, after dinner, or at the exit. The place setting is one of the most common, and the exit suits items guests carry straight home.

What is a good giveaway for ninong and ninang?

Nuptials.ph suggests a framed photo or an embroidered handkerchief for parents or principal sponsors, at ₱500 to ₱2,000. For ninongs and ninangs, Flowerchimp suggests an engraved wooden plaque and Bride and Breakfast a personalized blanket.

What should I write on a wedding favor tag?

Keep it to your names, the wedding date and a short thank-you. my-best Philippines lists those three as the common elements of a souvenir tag. Short lines fit small tags and read well in photos.

What are cheap wedding giveaway ideas?

Look at Divisoria favors, which Nuptials.ph reports from ₱35 a piece, or low-priced online items such as a single-drip coffee pouch at ₱22 or an engraved spoon-and-fork set at ₱49 on my-best's reference prices. Nuptials.ph also lists DIY cookies, trail mix, seed packets and printed bookmarks.
