Wedding Entourage Invitation Layout: 7 Layout Samples

Sunday, August 16, 2026

Quick answer

Group the entourage under headings, one name or couple per line, on its own card, page or screen. Imbitasyon Ko's order is parents, principal sponsors, best man and maid of honor, secondary sponsors, groomsmen and bridesmaids, bearers, flower girls; other guides, such as The Budgetarian Bride, order it differently.

You already know who is in your entourage. Fitting the names onto one panel or one phone screen, without a wall of text, is the hard part. This page is the layout half: group order, line breaks and how each block sets. Seven samples follow: five layouts you can copy (1, 2, 3, 5 and the blank form 7), the published page as guests see it (4), and an entry plan for Free (6). For who belongs in each group, read the entourage roles guide first.

Where the list goes

Decide the panel before the layout. Three Philippine sources treat the entourage as a separate piece, not part of the main card.

The order the groups run in

All seven samples use the group sequence an Imbitasyon Ko invitation prints: group headings with names under them. The role headings in column three are what our entourage list maker prints and what a printed insert shows. The published page does not print them.

#Group heading (what the invitation prints)Role headings (list tool and printed insert)Written as
1Our Beloved ParentsParents of the Groom · Parents of the BrideA couple per line
2Principal SponsorsNone; same as the group headingA couple per line
3Best Man & Maid of HonorBest Man · Maid of HonorOne name each
4Secondary SponsorsCandle Sponsors · Veil Sponsors · Cord SponsorsOne name per line
5Groomsmen & BridesmaidsGroomsmen · BridesmaidsOne name per line
6BearersRing Bearer · Coin Bearer · Bible BearerOne name each
7Flower GirlsNone; same as the group headingOne name per line
8EntourageNone; anyone you add under a custom roleOne name per line

Where a group heading and a role heading are the same word, print it once. This order is not the only one. The Budgetarian Bride's list runs, after the couple, principal sponsors, maid or matron of honor, best man, secondary sponsors, bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls, then bearers, with no parents group. The order of march is a separate list for your officiant or coordinator.

Within a group, Nuptials.ph advises listing the names in alphabetical order "to exhibit good etiquette and fairness", with the gentleman's line usually on top or on the left; our principal sponsors guide applies that to sponsor lines. Sides and surnames need one decision. Ink Scribbler, a Philippine stationer, says entourage pages traditionally run the groom's surname ahead of the bride's, and suggests a heading such as "Entourage" or "The wedding party" if either family reads that as a ranking. Nuptials.ph puts the bride's parents first on the host line. On Imbitasyon Ko, names print in the order you added them within each group, so enter the side you want first first.

Sample 1: Full traditional list, single column

One column: group headings in caps, role headings in regular case. This is the shape the list maker copies, so it suits an insert, a back panel or a screen.

Give each secondary sponsor their own line. Joined by an ampersand, a long name pushes the block sideways. Some cards set a short line under the candle, veil and cord headings. This page does not print that wording, because it is liturgical; see our secondary sponsors guide and ask your officiant.

One column filling the panel next to the same names set as two columns, about half as tall

Sample 2: Two-sided card, centered columns

For a printed invitation with the entourage on the back, next to the dress code and RSVP line. Two columns roughly halve the height of the block.

These columns line up only in a monospaced font. In Canva, Word or Illustrator defaults the spacing collapses, so rebuild it as a table or two side-by-side text boxes.

Sample 3: Compact list for a small wedding

When the entourage is small, drop the group headings and run role and names on one line, labels left-aligned.

Flower Girls [Name], [Name]

This sample assumes a ring bearer only. Whether the Coin Bearer and Bible Bearer come out is a ceremony decision, not a layout one; ask your officiant and add them back as two rows. Commas save lines for groomsmen, bridesmaids and flower girls. Avoid them for principal sponsors, where a shared line makes it easy to misread who is married to whom.

Sample 4: What guests see on Imbitasyon Ko

This is the published page, not a print layout. The heading is "The Wedding Entourage". Each group is a small uppercase heading, each name or couple sits on one centered line, and there are no role headings and no titles added for you. The example names are made up.

Both parents rows sit under the one heading, so nothing says which side is which. Our advice: if that matters, type it into the row, for example "(parents of the groom)" after the names. Pair lines longer than about 40 characters may wrap on a 375 px phone (our estimate), so check Preview. Paired rows have a name field plus a "Partner's name (optional)" field, and only the parents rows and principal sponsors have it. For the wording of each name, see principal sponsors on your invitation.

Sample 5: A long principal sponsor list

Past a certain number of couples, one column stops working. Split it in two and keep each pair visually joined.

                PRINCIPAL SPONSORS

Mr. [Full Name] Mr. [Full Name]
& Mrs. [Full Name] & Mrs. [Full Name]
Mr. [Full Name] Mr. [Full Name]
& Mrs. [Full Name] & Mrs. [Full Name]
Mr. [Full Name] Mr. [Full Name]
& Mrs. [Full Name] & Mrs. [Full Name]

Read the left column down, then the right, and say so on the card if it is not obvious. The columns hold only in a monospaced font. If the list still overflows, give principal sponsors their own panel rather than shrinking the type.

Sample 6: The ten entries a Free invitation shows

Free shows the first ten entries you added, counted across all groups in the order entered, and one couple row is one entry. Standard (₱499) and Premium (₱999), both one-time, show everyone. If you stay on Free, enter in priority order.

Entered 1-2 Parents of the Groom, Parents of the Bride (two couple rows)
Entered 3-6 Principal Sponsors (four couple rows)
Entered 7-8 Best Man, Maid of Honor
Entered 9 Ring Bearer
Entered 10 One flower girl
Not shown Entry 11 onwards, in whatever group

The published page still sets these under their usual group headings, whatever the entry order. The editor and preview show all entries, so count the names on the live page.

Sample 7: Blank form to fill in

Print it, fill it in and hand it to your designer.

Four ways to set a couple

Parents and principal sponsors are written as pairs.

FormatWrite it asUse it when
A: one line per coupleMr. [Full Name] & Mrs. [Full Name]Default; shortest
B: wrapped pairMr. [Full Name] then & Mrs. [Full Name]Long names, narrow column
C: titles in fullEngr. [Full Name] & Atty. [Full Name]Either person has a professional title
D: a parent has passed awayMr. [Full Name] & the late Mrs. [Full Name]Parents' names; for a sponsor, ask first

Collect every title before you typeset, and use titles for everyone or no one. On Imbitasyon Ko these rows are plain text, so type "the late" yourself. Our names guide covers titles, suffixes and deceased parents.

Check it fits before you print

Count lines before you commit to a card size.

GroupLines it costs
Section title and the blank line under it2
Our Beloved Parents1 heading + 2 roles + 2 names = 5
Principal Sponsors1 heading + 1 per couple
Best Man & Maid of Honor1 heading + 2 roles + 2 names = 5
Secondary Sponsors1 heading + 3 roles + 1 per person
Groomsmen & Bridesmaids1 heading + 2 roles + 1 per person
Bearers1 heading + 3 roles + 3 names = 7
Flower Girls1 heading + 1 per girl
Blank line between groups1 per group

Then work out what your panel holds: usable height divided by leading. A 5×7 in portrait panel with 0.5 in margins leaves 6 in, which is 432 pt. At 10 pt type on 14 pt leading that is 432 ÷ 14, about 30 lines, and 36 lines at 9 pt on 12 pt leading. Measure your own file. Over budget: switch to Sample 2, split across two panels, or go digital, where length costs nothing.

Pick the sample that matches your constraint, panel size on paper or screen width on a phone, and keep that order across print and screen. Once the names are set, the wording for the rest of the invitation is the last piece, and the proofreading checklist catches what typing missed.

Frequently asked questions

How do you list the entourage on a wedding invitation?

Group the names under headings, one name or one couple per line, on an entourage card, a separate page or a scrolling section of a digital invitation. Copy each name from the person who sent it, and use the same group order in print and online.

What is the order of the entourage list on a Filipino wedding invitation?

No single order exists. Imbitasyon Ko prints parents, principal sponsors, best man and maid of honor, secondary sponsors, groomsmen and bridesmaids, bearers, then flower girls. The Budgetarian Bride's list starts with principal sponsors and puts flower girls before bearers. Pick one and keep it everywhere.

Where do you put the entourage list on a wedding invitation?

Philippine guides put it on its own card or page. Nuptials.ph lists an entourage card as a usual part of the invitation, and The Budgetarian Bride adds a separate page for the names. On a digital invitation it is a section of the page.

Whose surname goes first on the entourage page?

Ink Scribbler, a Philippine stationer, says the groom's surname traditionally goes before the bride's on the entourage page. Nuptials.ph puts the bride's parents first on the host line. Choose one order and keep it consistent across the invitation.

How many entourage names does the Free plan show on Imbitasyon Ko?

The first 10 entries you added, counted across all groups in the order entered. A couple entered as one row counts as one entry. Standard and Premium show the whole list. The editor and preview always show everyone.

Does the published invitation show candle, veil and cord headings?

No. The page prints one group heading, Secondary Sponsors, with every candle, veil and cord sponsor's name under it. The separate role headings appear in the editor and in the free entourage list tool, so use the tool's output for a printed insert.
